  Message from the PrincipalMinimize

Dear Parents:

It feels as if the new year is already moving along at a rapid rate. We are now in the process of working toward the end of the second trimester and report cards are right around the corner.

I would like to extend my thanks to the many parents who filled out the Wilder Parent Survey. The results have been tallied, shared with the Wilder Accountability Committee, and were sent out in a summary form via PTO Manager. What is very evident to me, through the survey results, is that Wilder is a unique, distinctive school that focuses on high student achievement, values our strong and diverse educational programs, and is characterized by its passion for students and learning. Students, parents and staff make Wilder the fine school it is.

In January, the PTO funded the purchase of three mobile carts of netbooks for students. One cart (set of 30 netbooks) will be placed in the 5th grade and the other 2 carts will be shared by 4th grade teachers. Students and staff are thrilled to start using this new technology with their writing, social studies, reading, and science curriculum. Thank you, PTO!

Remember that we have two PLC Late Start Days on February 3rd and 25th. Presidents Day is February 15th which is a No School Day. Also, February 11th is Science Fair Evening which begins at 6:30 pm. Please come and encourage our young scientists!

Dr. Trish Cook,
Principal
